Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very busy lately and have been part of a great opportunity to write for LitterBoxCats.com, covering the Florida Panthers directly.
The 2013-14 was a disaster for the most part save for some shining beacons being the play of Upshall, Bjugstad and Boyes, the ousting of Michael Yormark as team president, the return of Roberto Luongo and the Panthers receiving the number 1 pick in the 2014 Draft which they used on Aaron Ekblad.
The team hired a new coach in Gerard Gallant, formerly of the Montreal Canadiens coaching staff.
The team has spent a lot of money in free agency acquiring 6 new players and currently finalizing deals with their RFAs.
The team held its yearly Rookie Development Camp which showcases the teams recent draft picks from the past three years. The team's prospect pool has gotten to the point that it is deep enough to trade some of them without harming the team's future progress.
The BB&T Center will see a reduction in capacity and a change in price as it will now become a more realistic cost for those in the upper deck while also not being a ridiculous amount for those in the lower bowl.
Finally Panthers hockey still hums along though the Panthers art has been few and far between. It is to be expected with yet another losing season but hopefully a turnaround along with some potential cosmetic changes to the team (like a logo change) will get hockey fans back in the spirit to create Panthers art.

Life changing stuff
Hi everyone who still pops by on this. It seems the Panthers loving community on deviantart has remained the same despite the team’s performance. In any case, I’m still alive. I still pop by every now and again to update the catalog here. And hopefully the Cats can become a powerhouse so this place gets revived again.
Long time, many changes
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've last posted. I still keep a watchful eye over this site and hoping that recent changes in Sunrise will lead to new life for this site. I have been busy with law school and have been contributing to the efforts of Panthers site LitterBoxCats.com.
The Florida Panthers finally look like a team ready to contend for the Stanley Cup. The bright future everyone kept talking about seems to be close to being present. It's amazing seeing the amount of goodwill happening in Florida. Yes there will always be ignorant folks who hate Florida for nothing more than weather and geographic location. Those people wi
2013-14 Midseason Progress Report
The Florida Panthers have surpassed the halfway marker of the 2013-14 NHL regular season and it looks as if the club is not going to be a playoff contender. At 41 games the Cats finished 5 points below .500 & a season finishing in the 70s range of points looks to be in hand unless the Cats catch fire & the rest of the Eastern Conference can't put them out. Let's name the 3 highs & 3 lows of the 1st half of the season.
Lows
1. Kevin Dineen & his coach in staff getting fired is number 1 and it should be as he lost the locker room and made very questionable coaching decisions that further hampered the Panthers.
2. Kris Versteeg was toxic to th
Training Camp
The summer is winding down and the leaves are changing colors and a cold chill is in the night air. Except down here in South Florida but like the rest of the US and Canada we are gearing up for another NHL season. The Florida Panthers return with 1 goal in mind: stay healthy. Yes the rash of injuries and lack of good conditioning was the fault of the players and medical staff on board who underestimated the physical toll the lockout shortened season of 2013 would dish out. The Cats ended up the worst team in the league with horrendous scoring and defensive statistics to boot. The only thing that went right was Jonathan Huberdeau winning the
